Condolence Book for Japan Earthquake
Consulate-General of Japan in Auckland

The Consulate-General of Japan would like to advise you that a Condolence Book for victims of the devastating Tohoku district – off the Pacific Ocean Earthquake and following tsunami in Japan that occurred on 11 March 2011, will be available.
The condolence book will be open for signing at the Consulate-General of Japan in Auckland (L12, ASB Bank Centre, 135 Albert Street) between 10:00AM and 4:00PM on Friday, 18 March, Tuesday, 22 March and Wednesday, 23 March.


東北地方太平洋沖地震
(総領事館における記帳のご案内)

2011年3月11日に発生した東北地方太平洋沖地震及びそれに伴う津波の犠牲者に対し弔意を示すため、オークランド総領事館において記帳を受け付けますのでご案内致します。
記帳簿は、2011年3月18日(金)、22日(火)及び23日(水)の午前10時から午後4時までの間、総領事館(ASB Bank Centre, 135 Albert Street)12階待合室に設置致します。

Latest news concerning Australian and New Zealand JET Participants currently residing in Japan.

All JET Participants from Australia and New Zealand currently residing in Japan have been contacted at least once since the earthquake (as at 2:00PM JST, 14th March).

Contact has been made by phone, email, or other means mainly by local government authorities (Prefectural Government or Municipal Government).

There is no guarantee of any individual’s safety at the time you access this site.

CLAIR Sydney is not able to handle enquiries regarding the safety of individual JET Participants. All information has been shared with the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

Consul-General Announcement

Dear Sir or Madam

More than four months have passed since the earthquake and tsunami on March 11. With maximum effort by all concerned and international cooperation, the Fukushima nuclear power plant has now moved to the second stage under its roadmap designed to bring the reactors under control.

The attached paper will explain the current status of the nuclear plant.
