Auckland Choral's Preview Concert

Come and enjoy a sample of the delights that Auckland Choral has on its menu this year. This hour-long concert will be an enjoyable mix of many different styles of music, just like a kaleidoscope, which in Greek implies the words ‘beauty’ and ‘shape’, creating colourful patterns. Alongside excerpts from favourites by Bach, Vivaldi and Mozart you will find some musical surprises. Following our tradition to include tasty morsels from other cultures on our musical journey, you will hear the thrilling sound of taiko drummers as well as folksongs from China and Japan. We will all unite and end the concert with Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus” from our perennial Christmas favourite Messiah.
