 NZJS has received a "Runner up" award for its
annual Taste of Japan event at the recent 2010 Sister Cities Air New Zealand Awards, held in Dunedin last month.

The event will be held at the Logan Campbell Centre, Greenlane on Sat. 25th
September. We expect around 10,000 visitors. This is the only free Hands on
Japanese Cultural Festival in New Zealand co-hosted by the Consulate General of
Japan. Join the team now and get involved!

On Sunday the 21st of March, the half yearly softball tournament was held at the
Meadowlands Park in Howick.
Frank's Butterfingers played 5 games: 2 wins, 2 losses and 1 tie.
The team members and supporters had a great time creating a wonderful
atmosphere!

The NZ Japan Society of Auckland is hosting “Taste of Japan 2010” on September
25th at the Logan Campbell Centre, ASB Showgrounds, Greenlane in Auckland.
This
year’s Taste of Japan, as we celebrate our 50th anniversary.
There will be first, second and third prizes for each section. The first prize
winner for the high school section will be able to participate in a one-week
homestay programme in Japan.
